Every link is opened before it goes live: the channel must be public, active and lawful. Subscriber counts are read directly on Telegram, together with the date.

What is the difference between a channel and a group?

A channel broadcasts its admins' posts to subscribers who cannot write. A group is a chat where every member can take part.

Do I need a Telegram account to join a channel?

A channel no longer works, what should I do?

Click "Report a dead link" at the bottom of its listing. We check the link again and remove the channel if it has closed.
